About

Asefeh Katoozian is a multidisciplinary artist. Her artistic path commenced in 1997 as she explored painting, drawing, and sculpture under the tutelage of mentors in Tehran. With a background in architectonics, Asefeh integrated sculpture into her architecture, aiming to inspire lasting pieces. In 2014, she ventured to Salzburg, Austria, to develop her artistic skills and focus on stage design, lighting, film and exhibition architecture at Mozarteum University. She completed the scenography master's degree programme at Mozarteum University in 2023. She uses stage design freely between performing and visual arts, architecture, literature, fashion, film, music, design and photography. She interprets her ideals with the various sub-areas of art, technology and contemporary media in an interdisciplinary manner. She believes all disciplines represent tools to inspire her to be able to develop and articulate themselves, artistically freely and in an interdisciplinary style.

Asefeh's works have been displayed in various international art exhibitions, including the Biennial in Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Canada.
